MY PROJECT:

Hey guys!

So, you all know who I am...what with my real name and my display name being the same and all, so I shall skip the personal introduction and proceed with the main point of this post -A favourite project of mine.

The brief basically told us to design a 'fluid form' that represented certain qualities that we perceived in the works of two precedents. Sooo I set about composing this ‘form’ which really had nothing to do with anything except the words: ‘Dynamic movement’, ‘Elegance’ and ‘Dome’. I liked this project in particular because of the freedom we had in designing it. It was a lot of fun exploring the different curves able to be formed by different materials, and finding the appropriate material to capture the essence of my form was highly entertaining.

My image takes the viewer on the journey I take when meeting my friends everyday- Finding one, then another and so on.

As for the project itself...I found it really challenging, but I'm happy with the way my page looks, and also with the work displayed on it.

REAL LIVE NETWORK COMPOSITE IMAGE IDEAS:

Ok so I have a few ideas for this network composite image thing....
I was thinking:

• having people opening doors and finding other people
• or feet meeting other feet and the two pairs of feet walking on together and finding another persons feet.
• OR, people typing to other people who appear typing in the screen...

....Can't really decide....

I quite like the 'feet' idea actually...yeah I'm going to do that.

VIDEO IDEAS

Ok so I've decided for my video to do a sort of animation of the process involved in making my composite image. It will illustrate all the major steps of the process, sort of like a story board....And I'm going to make it out of still shots.

INSPIRATION

Yo! New post...this time about stuff that inspires me.

So things that inspire me.....

1.Fashion- I love clothing full stop! Most passionate about gowns,and historical fashion..I find the gowns of 'back in the day' great. This site is a brilliant account of fashion through the ages, I found it while searching fashion of the 1930's- an era I particularly love the style of.

2. The Renaissance- Don't you just die of awe every time you look at the Sistine chapel or the other works of Michelangelo? or marvel at the brilliance of Mr Leonardo Da Vinci?? I am completely fascinated by this period of history, when art made complete sense, and new inventions were springing up everywhere. People began to think outside of the box....That's what I try to do when I design.

3. Mobile Phones- yeah I know.....weird but some of the phone designs out there are pretty exceptional, and I love comparing features and prices.

Well now you know what inpires me.
